Art Displayed at the Priest's Mill Gallery

Gallery open

In the company of…

In the company of stone, art and fine crafts, the Priest's Mill Art Centre Gallery's inaugural exhibition celebrates the legacy of Father Alexander Macdonnell, who built the original grist mill in 1819. It's also a celebration of the entrepreneurial spirit of the visionaries who rebuilt in 1902 after a devastating fire and the intrepid entrepreneurs who've taken care of and rejuvenated this building in subsequent years.

The ground floor of the mill's centre block has been meticulously refurbished as an art gallery and studio to serve as a creative space for our community. A collection of 17 community artists' work is currently on display — in their company, we can celebrate the creative in each of us.

The gallery is open to the public on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays from 10:00 to 17:00 (10 am to 5 pm).

Artists interested in showing in our inaugural exhibition are invited to get in touch.

Please bear with us

Please bear with us while our website is under development.

We're presently focused on incremental gallery improvements and refinements to accommodate new artists joining the exhibit. And, we're working on revamping and equipping a versatile studio where you can express your creative self is well underway.

In time, once the revamp of all our facilities are done, we'll be developing PMAC's website into a fully-fledged digital gallery with online shopping functionality.
When will you start offering experiences and classes?

We're in the final stages of revamping space for a versatile studio where we will offer all manner of creative experiences.

We expect work to continue through the summer.

Work on the west end, will likely carry on through to next year as we raise the funds to develop and equip that section as our hotshop for glass blowing.

Will you honour my gift card?

Yes.

We will honour legacy gift cards that have not previously been cashed in, for classes, experiences and select gallery works. Consignment artists' work excluded.

I want to exhibit my art

Our inaugural exhibit showcases our community artists' work. Artists interested in participating in this exhibit should contact the gallery as soon as possible as we are filling up.

Artists interested in a solo exhibit or exhibiting as a featured artist should contact the gallery to be considered.

I'm an artist looking for studio space

Once our versatile studio space has been revamped, we'll make studio space available for artists looking for a space to work away from home for periods of time.

We will also be offering bench time for artists wanting to work with stained glass, warm glass and the other equipment we plan to develop over time.

Stained glass studio & shop

Our stained glass studio will be operational late summer.

We will be stocking stained glass supplies for sale to the public

Warm glass studio

Our warm glass equipment is on order — we expect to commision the equipment late summer early fall and then make that studio available for experiences, classes and artists.
